Technology Plan
Technology plays an integral part in the overall educational plan for Morgan County. Teachers across the system are striving to incorporate technology in their teaching strategies in a variety of ways. Students as well as teachers are becoming proficient in the use of Word, Powerpoint, and Excel as learning tools in the classroom.
Morgan County's technology plan is a comprehensive endeavor designed to provide the hardware and software necessary to enable teachers to more effectively utilize technology. Staff development opportunities as well as equipment and software purchases are coordinated to achieve the maximum results from the monies allotted.
The county technology coordinator, Jerry Yarborough, is instrumental in developing the comprehensive county technology plan. From this plan, each individual school develops its own plan to best meet the continuing technology needs of its students and teachers.
