Director of Schools Ronnie Wilson would like to announce Teachers of the Month for March.
In Grades PreK-5 from Sunbright, Mrs. Katie Knox is our representative. Katie took over at mid-year for a departing teacher. She has worked hard and has made this a seamless transition. She has bonded with her students and become a valuable member to the 4th and 5th grade teaching team.
From Petros-Joyner representing Grades 6-8, Mrs Carlena Mayo goes above and beyond by making personal connections with her students by establishing positive relationships with them. She is involved in Beta Club, the Wax Museum, and the middle school prom. She is a true asset to the PJ family.
From Central High School representing Grades 9-12 is Patty Justice. Patty is integral in the Business and Entrepreneurship classes starting a school-based enterprise. Her leadership has made it possible to get the Brew Crew Coffee Shop up and running. She manages Chromebook issues and technology needs in the building and is a district-wide technology trainer.
Mr. Wilson would once again like to express the school systems thanks to Subway of Wartburg and Ole Ben Franklin Ford for their support of the Teacher of the Month Program. Their sponsorship of this program makes it possible to present awards to these high-achieving educators.
