Security Safeguards

Morgan County Schools are dedicated to providing a safe, effective learning environment for all students and staff. A crisis/safety management plan was implemented during the 1995-96 school year and is reviewed and updated annually.

Teachers and staff are trained to effectively handle crisis situations and the safety of each student is the top priority. Drills for emergency situations such as fire, tornado, violent intruder, and nuclear disaster are administered regularly at each school in Morgan County.

Also, faculty are required to discuss what to do in each disaster situation with their students. For more detailed information about specific policies dealing with emergencies, contact your local school.
