This event was presented in partnership between the Morgan County Chamber of Commerce and The Morgan County 21st Century After-School Program.
This event featured 300 children who participated in the After-School from all over Morgan County. The Children performed Christmas Carols and Patriotic Songs on the Courthouse Lawn.
This event allowed these children to showcase their talent and hard work that they had put into the 21st Century After-School Program.
The 21st Century After-School Program was made possible by a federal grand administered by the State of Tennessee. The program was designed to address the needs of at-risk students in Morgan County. The program provides a variety of activities that will enable students and their families to acquire or strenthen the skills necessary for success in the 21st century workforce. The program provides a safe, challenging, engaging, and fun learning experience to help children and youth develop their social, emotional, physical, cultural and academic skills. Support working families by ensuring their children are safe and productive after the regular school day and building stronger communities by involving our students, parents, business leaders, and adult volunteers in the lives of our young people.
